Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, onion, bell pepper, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- On a large piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap, spread the meat mixture into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the meat mixture, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce.
- Carefully roll the meat mixture into a log, using the parchment paper or plastic wrap to help you. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Place the meatloaf seam side down in a baking dish.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
