Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole head of cabbage into the boiling water. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the outer leaves are softened and can be easily removed. Remove the cabbage from the water and set aside to cool.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- While the filling is simmering, carefully peel off the softened cabbage leaves, being careful not to tear them. Trim any tough stems from the leaves.
- Place a spoonful of the beef and rice mixture onto each cabbage leaf, then fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll it up tightly.
- Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour the beef broth over the rolls.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the cabbage rolls are cooked through and tender.
- Once cooked, remove the foil and sprinkle chopped parsley on top for garnish if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious stuffed cabbage rolls!
