  • 2 ripe bananas

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the sour cream or yogurt. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
