Pioneer Pecan Pie Recipe

This classic pecan pie recipe is a timeless favorite, perfect for any occasion. With its rich, gooey filling and crunchy pecans, it’s sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, crimping the edges as desired. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Arrange the pecan halves evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  5. Pour the filling mixture over the pecans, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  6. Carefully transfer the pie to the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed. If the edges of the crust start to brown too quickly, you can cover them with aluminum foil halfway through baking.
  7. Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
  8. Serve slices of the pioneer pecan pie on its own or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat. Enjoy!
