Luther Burger Recipe


The Luther Burger is a deliciously indulgent creation that combines sweet and savory flavors in one satisfying bite. Originating from the United States, this burger is a decadent treat that’s sure to please any food lover.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 glazed donuts (preferably Krispy Kreme)
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices of crispy bacon
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Mayonnaise
  • Optional: pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.
  2. While the grill is heating up, divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Cook the burger patties on the grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Make sure to season them with salt and pepper while cooking.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, slice the glazed donuts in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom bun for each burger.
  5. Toast the sliced donuts on the grill or in a skillet until they are lightly golden brown and warmed through.
  6. When the burgers are almost done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt slightly.
  7. Assemble the Luther Burgers by placing a cooked burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each glazed donut.
  8. Top each burger with two slices of crispy bacon, lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and any other desired toppings like pickles, onions, ketchup, or mustard.
  9. Spread a dollop of mayonnaise on the inside of the top half of each glazed donut, then place it on top of the burger to complete the sandwich.
