Garlic Butter Seafood Boil Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab legs
  • 1 pound clams, scrubbed
  • 1 pound mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 2 ears of corn, shucked and cut into thirds
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Season the water with salt and Old Bay seasoning.
  2. Add the potatoes to the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes, until they start to soften.
  3. Add the corn to the pot and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add the crab legs to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in the shrimp, clams, mussels, and lemon slices. Cover the pot and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the shells of the clams and mussels have opened.
  6. While the seafood is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant.
  7. Once the seafood is cooked, carefully transfer everything to a large serving platter or a clean table lined with newspaper.
  8. Pour the garlic butter over the seafood boil and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and additional Old Bay seasoning on the side.
