Fresh Mango Salsa Recipe

This vibrant salsa is a perfect topping for grilled fish, tacos, or just for scooping up with chips!

Ingredient

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled, pitted, and diced (about 3 cups)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • ½ jalapeño, minced (optional, for a kick of spice)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced mangoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, lime zest, and jalapeño (if using).
  2. Gently toss to coat all ingredients.
  3. Season with salt to taste.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Tips:

  • For a sweeter salsa, add a teaspoon of honey or agave nectar.
  • If your mangoes are not very ripe, you can add a squeeze of extra lime juice to brighten the flavor.
  • This salsa is best enjoyed fresh, but will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
