Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
- Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the butter and milk to the pot with the potatoes.
- Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm until serving.
- Cook the Salmon:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
