Cooked Salmon and Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
  • Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water.
  • Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook the potatoes until they are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the butter and milk to the pot with the potatoes.
  • Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm until serving.
  1. Cook the Salmon:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
