- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, about 1 to 1.5 inches each.
- Set Up Breading Stations:
- In the first bowl, place the flour.
- In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- In the third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Bread the Chicken:
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Fry the Nuggets:
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 175°C), add the chicken nuggets in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry each piece for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the nuggets with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve: Enjoy your chicken nuggets hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
