A moist and delicious banana bread that’s perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar (can be reduced to 1/2 cup for a less sweet bread)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour last, and mix until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove the banana bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a rack before slicing.
