Baked Potato Gratin recipe

Ingredients

  • 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Gruyere or cheddar work well)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Heat gently over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
  3. Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Sprinkle with a handful of shredded cheese.
